How Did We Get This Funny Name?

In 2000, I was the coordinator for a wedding held in Dallas. About 15 minutes before the start of the wedding the bride's aunt, who had just arrived in town, insisted on seeing her.

I explained to the aunt that the wedding was about to begin and that it was impossible to see the bride at that time. One of my policies is after photographer, videographer, and make-up artist have completed their work, the bride is given a moment to meditate.

The bride was taking advantage of that moment. The aunt became quite insistent, but as a wedding coordinator my first obligation is always to the bride.

At the reception, the aunt was sitting at the reserved table for the family and proceeds to say to the person next to her (my mother), "Who is "That Cow"? You know "That Cow" wouldn't let me see my niece, "That Cow" this and that, then "That Cow" had me escorted to my seat."

My mother said, "Well, sometimes my daughter can be that way." She had me escorted to my seat.

And that's how "That Cow Event's Planner was born.
